  Atmosphere of the Waterfront
Love River Wetlands Park   Jhongdou Tangrong Brick Kiln
Love River Wetlands Park connects to Jhongdou Wetlands Park across Tongmeng Road. The curved revetments built with an ecological engineering method present the elegant and natural look of Love Located at the southern side of the River.   Located at the southern side of the Jhongdou Wetlands Park, Jhongdou Tangrong Brick Kiln is a hundred-year-old national historic side. The workmanship of the remaining Homan Kiln and the two brick chimneys is exquisite and has artistic value.
Kaohsiung Museum of History
Resembling the Chinese character of “Kao,” the Kaohsiung Museum of History used to be the municipal office during the Japanese ruling period the postwar period, and before 1992.
  Happiness Canal
Previously named the Second Canal, the Happiness Canal completed the works of water quality improvement, greening engineering, lighting and bridge renovation, making it a new urban spotlight.
  Love River Café and Love Boats
There are café and nighttime street performance along both banks of Love River between Jhongjheng Bridge and Kaohsiung Bridge. Tourists can also take a love boat to tour along Love River.
  Xinle Sewer System Exhibition Pavilion
and Kaohsiung Film Archive
After the improvement of the water quality of Love River, Kaohsiung City government turned decommissioned interceptor stations along the banks into sewer system exhibition pavilions. Kaohsiung Film Archive, which provides free movies, is the most important lm archive in southern Taiwan.
  Love Pier
Love Pier is located at the junction of Love River and the Port of Kaohsiung. Tourists can take a ferry here to Cijin or tour along the Port of Kaohsiung. Love Pier is also the conjunction point of Love River-Lotus Pond Bikeway and West Side Harbor Bikeway.
To the North: A Vast and Open Urban Green Space
Neiweipi Wetlands Park and Kaohsiung
Museum of Fine Arts Neiweipi Wetlands Park and Jhongdou Wetlands Park are located at the north and south sides of Love River, respectively. The Park is significant in terms of biodiversity. Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts, located within the Park, provides international-grade arts exhibitions and activities.
  Aozihdi Forest Park
Covering an area of 10 hectares, the Aozihdi Forest Park is a rare large-scale park in an urban area. There are a variety of flowers blooming all year round. The well-constructed water circulation system makes it a park that can breathe.
 
To the East: Feel the Heart of Love River
Kaohsiung New Hakka Cultural Park
Kaohsiung New Hakka Cultural Park is the first urban Hakka cultural park in southern Taiwan. There is a 1.05-km Hakka floral fragrance path in the Park. Diverse exhibitions and activities are held here to allow visitors to experience Hakka culture.

  Heart of Love River
The Heart of Love River is an elegant heart-shaped dual-lake loop built with an ecological engineering method. The Heart of Love River serves a function in flood control and also marks the end of the Love Boat tour. It serves both transportation and tourism purposes.
 
To the West: Overlooking the Beauty of
  the Mountain and Seascapes
Shoushan Nature Park
Formed by raised coral reefs, the Shoushan Mountain is significant in terms of biodiversity. There are hundreds of species of endemic plants, birds and macaques to be seen here.
  Sizihwan
Sizihwan is a popular place for couples to come to admire the sunset view. The government completed the coastal restoration and landscape renovation work in 2011 to give Sizihwan a brand new look.
