Visitor Service Center
The visitor service center is located right next to the main entrance on the Tongmeng Road. There is a pier at the waterfront area; it will be accommodating canoes. In addition to recovering species, Jhongdou Wetlands Park also bears the responsibility of educating its visitors. The Park itself is an ecological classroom, and the visitor service center is the pivot of the ecological education. Tour guide and narration service are available here, and along with the monitoring tower of the Central Ecological Islet, the visitor service center becomes the hub of the wetlands recovery.
The visitor service center connects to the Ecological Islet with a suspension bridge, and there is a canoe pier at the waterfront area.
The roof of the visitor service center is a wooden structure, and visitors can look over the Park on the second floor. The Park keeps a 7-meter wood log recovered from the old ditch. The log is kept at the junction of the visitor service center and the water purification area. The Park has several ecology observation platforms equipped with narrative boards to allow the public to better understand the wetlands.
